Gurudev Ravindranath Tagore – one of Indian’s greatest thinkers

A legendary man was once born in Bengal by the name of Ravindranatha Thakura. While others looked forward to making a living, he just wanted to live. A young handsome man who wanted to live his life on his own terms such was Rabindranath Tagore from a young age. Rabindranath Tagore was brought up with siblings who were just as artistic as him. At a very young age he set his foot into the field of arts.

Raboindranath Tagore is widely known for his work in today’s date, the first non European to have won the noble prize in literature in 1913. He was the man who motivated authors all over the world and changed the history of literature. Tagore modernised Bengali art by spurning rigid classical forms and resisting linguistic strictures. His novels, stories, songs, dance-dramas, and essays spoke to topics political and personal. Gitanjali (Song Offerings), Gora (Fair-Faced) and Ghare-Baire (The Home and the World) are his best-known works, and his verse, short stories, and novels were acclaimed—or panned—for their lyricism, colloquialism, naturalism, and unnatural contemplation.

His compositions were chosen by two nations as national anthems: India's Jana Gana Mana and Bangladesh's Amar Shonar Bangla. The Sri Lankan national anthem was inspired by his work.

Rabindranath Tagore still remains one of the most scholarly writer and an inspirational human being. His work speaks for itself and needs no introduction.
